QiGong
Translated: Qi ‘energy’ Gong ‘work’
= Working with Energy
Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is a traditional Chinese practice which involves physical movements called forms, aligned with breathing to promote the smooth flow of energy or Qi through the body.
Qigong is a self healing practice of Chinese medicine.
It has been practiced for centuries as a form of exercise and healing. When the flow of Qi is disrupted or blocked, it can lead to imbalances in body and mind.
There are many different types of qigong, but they all focus on the cultivation of Qi and the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
Qigong can be practiced by all people of all ages and degrees of health and can be practiced standing, sitting, or lying down.
Practicing Qigong is wonderful for restoring the balance of Qi, promoting health and wellbeing. Regular practice of qigong helps to improve balance, flexibility, strength, and mental clarity, as well as reduce stress and anxiety.
