Rage Rising™
The Charge we’ve learnt to fear
You might not call it anger. It might feel like frustration, exhaustion, or going numb. Our culture has taught us that anger is violent and bad, so most of us learnt to swallow it, hide it, or feel ashamed.
Think of a mother bear with her cubs. She needs that Charge to protect them, and she is still able to nurture. Right now, when the news is full of violation, being able to protect ourselves is a must.
The Charge that rises to protect us is the same one that brings inspiration, excitement and the energy to step into action. When fear and shame cut it off, we lose our aliveness too.
Over four weeks, we explore where this Charge lives in your body and how to let it move again, safely, through the lens of Chinese medicine and somatic practices. For women and AFAB people in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond, whether perimenopause is on the horizon, here now, or behind you.
Begins Sunday 25 October 2026
Live classes that bridge understanding and experience, taught the way I like to learn. All recordings are yours to keep.

ABOUT ANNY
I've been a facilitator for 30 years. My first love was shiatsu, and it has informed everything since. My path widened into macrobiotics with a partnership in Melbourne's Wild Rice café, yoga, meditation, qigong, somatic inquiry, Gestalt, family constellation and breathwork, developed between Australia and Istanbul, where I lived and worked for 15 years, and New York, where I studied nutritional coaching.
But my path into this work began much earlier. I lost a parent to suicide at 10, and much of my early life was marked by homelessness, abuse, addiction and loss. I was drawn to healing as soon as I understood that my silence was a product of my circumstances, not a sign that something was wrong with me.
Perimenopause brought a transition so intense it sent me back to formal study in Chinese medicine. I'm now five years into menopause. Sailing close to the edge has given me insight no training alone could offer.
This is why I'm so passionate about helping women reclaim their bodies, their felt sense and the emotions they were taught to suppress. For so many of us, perimenopause brings our history back to the surface, ready to be processed and reclaimed.
Why This Course
Not every woman identifies with anger. Most arrive with symptoms: inflammation, trouble sleeping, an active mind, hot flushes, joint pain, gut issues, migraines, skin issues, heavy bleeding. Some arrive struggling to communicate with a partner or to ask for what she needs. As we work together over time, a deeper experience often comes to light, usually rooted in her earlier relationships with her parents, and especially her mother.
I’ve worked with hundreds of women who are still cycling, in perimenopause, menopause and beyond. Again and again, these symptoms have a strong relationship with the level of constraint placed on her emotions, buried in the underworld.
We are governed by our cycles, so there is no perfect time to connect with the body. Whatever season you’re in, this is the time.
Why now
We are surrounded by news of violation, and we’ve been taught that charged emotions and energy are not attractive. Good girls don’t talk back, and they don’t ask for what they want. Our pleasure hasn’t been prioritised. We’ve shut down the body by covering up our periods as dirty, being told we’re broken with PMS, and being handed the pill.
At the same time, women are waking up to information about their hormones: how oestrogen buffers us and progesterone gently sedates us, helping us manage everyone and everything through our fertile years. As those hormones fluctuate, (PMS & perimenopause) we finally see what we’ve actually been handling all along and has become untenable.
There is so much change and upheaval, and women’s voices are starting to rise. Because we haven’t had much experience with this, it can feel overwhelming. That’s why we take this time to gently build trust in your body and your nervous system, without overwhelm.
I’m passionate about all women, and younger women especially, being taught this before menopause arrives in full flight.
Four weeks may not get to the core of your healing, but it will give you context. Often that’s enough to understand this is a process, a necessary one. Perimenopause does end. And when you look back, you’ll understand its importance for your next liberated chapter.
What We'll Explore
Module 1: Why You Feel So Out of Control
You're not losing it. You're moving through a season. We step into the Chinese medicine view of a woman's life, and why this transition can stir up so much of what began at puberty.
The seasons of a woman's life. From maiden spring to the second spring, a map of where you are and why this is a season, not a permanent state.
The 7 year cycles. How the ancient Chinese classics describe the vessels that open at puberty and close at menopause, making them two sides of the same process.
The puberty mirror. Why what you felt, hid or folded away as a girl often resurfaces now, and why that's an invitation, not a setback.
Module 2: The Mother Line
So much of our anger has roots in our relationship with our mother. We explore how what we inherited, and what we never received, shapes the way we live in our bodies today.
The Ren Mai and the mother bond. In Chinese medicine the Ren vessel is with us from birth, just as our mother is. We look at how that early bond lives on in the body.
Your first bleed and your body. How you were taught, or not taught, about your cycle, your sexuality and your body, and what that left you with.
Shame taken on or cut away. Whether we absorbed our mother's shame and beliefs or pushed her away, both leave a part of us unclaimed. This is where we begin to gather it back.
Module 3: The Heart Fire
For decades your energy flowed from your heart to your womb, month after month. Now it's coming home. We explore why this return can feel like heat, surges and sudden rage.
The Bao Mai, the heart's link to the womb. How Chinese medicine describes the pathway that carried your energy down for bleeding and conception, and what happens when that need ends.
Hot flushes and the rush of anger. Why the fire rises, and why it isn't random. Your body is redirecting its energy, and it's asking to be understood.
The heart and your inner truth. In Chinese medicine the Heart houses the Shen, your spirit. As the fire returns, so does clarity about what matters, and what no longer does.
Module 4: The Dragon Rising
Your fire isn't something to put out. It's life force wanting to move. We bring everything together through the wisdom of spring, the Liver & qigong, so your fire can nourish, warm & clear, not burn away.
Qi that needs to move. Why energy that's been held down for years builds pressure, and how anger is often stuck life force looking for a way out.
The Emerald Dragon and the Liver. In Chinese cosmology the dragon guards spring and renewal. We explore how rage can bring clarity, a boundary, a truth or a new direction.
Your second spring. Moving your fire with intelligence and care through qigong, and stepping into the new rising that waits on the other side of this transition.

When We Understand, Everything Shifts
Four weeks won't give you everything. This is a beginning. But there's something powerful about finally having context for what you're feeling.
Most of us were taught that when our body is in discomfort or pain, it's working against us, that we need to override it, fix it or push through. Rage Rising invites a different possibility: that your body is the most intelligent ecosystem you'll ever know, and you're in relationship with it.
When you understand why the fire rises, it stops being so frightening. It becomes information. And from there, you can begin to meet yourself with curiosity instead of shame.

Who is this course for?
Rage Rising welcomes women and AFAB people at every stage of this transition:
Approaching it. Not in perimenopause yet? Come early. A little awareness now can help you move through this time with far more ease.
In the thick of it. Feeling the heat, the frustration or rage you don't recognise? This is where we meet it, safely and in the body.
Years beyond it. This work is about understanding and deepening into your body and your life, not just managing symptoms.
1
Do I need to know anything about Chinese medicine?
2
Not at all. Everything is introduced simply and clearly. If you've worked with me before, there will be optional resources to take you deeper.
What if I can't make a live call?
All calls are recorded, so you can catch up in your own time. You'll have lifetime access to the recordings and all course materials, so you can return to them whenever you need.
3
How much time will it take each week?
4
A 90 minute live call, plus your choice between 10mins - 90mins daily for the readings, prompts and practice. Everything is designed to fit into a busy life.
I have a history of trauma. Is this safe for me?
5
This course is trauma informed, and you'll always be invited to go at your own pace. It's not a replacement for therapy, and if difficult material arises, I encourage you to have support in place alongside the course.
Is this a replacement for medical care or HRT?
6
No. Rage Rising works alongside whatever medical support you choose. It offers a way of understanding your body, not a treatment plan.
